We are very excited to announce that Learn My Way, a free computer course in partnership with Volunteer Centre North Warwickshire and Online Centres UK is now available to you at Whitestone Surgery.
Our launch day, which showcased the many aspects of the course with the help of BOB the Online Centres UK Branching Out Bus, was a great opportunity for new students to meet with the course tutors and discuss their plans for the coming months. The launch day was also attended by Jeff Morgan, Councillor for Whitestone who commented,
“ I am really impressed by the work of the Whitestone Surgery and its patient participation group. What they have got now is a model for community development based around beginner IT training that can be implemented in other surgeries around North Warwickshire. To have 45% of the patients online and over 30% using electronic prescription is a tremendous achievement that is already dramatically bringing down administration costs. Not only do they have Silver Surfers, supported by Learn My Way, but they have a Job Club and a Carer’s Cafe, all of which provides a focal point for the entire community.”
