Carer’s Tust celebrated it’s first ever Carers Awards earlier this year as an opportunity to recognise and celebrate the exceptional unpaid carers in Coventry and Warwickshire and the great work taking place across health and social care.
Carer’s Trust Chief Executive, Sonja Woodhouse, said: “Many people choose not to describe themselves as a carer – it’s just something they do for someone they care about. These awards were our opportunity to do something for them. It has been truly inspiring to hear the real-life stories of people with care responsibilities first-hand and see the major impact that they have on the lives of the people they care for.”

Whitestone Surgery and it’s Patient Participation Group were recognised for their dedication and hard work in helping carers in the community with their Caring Café initiative and were delighted to receive a nomination for the ‘Caring GP Practice of the Year’. Dr Simon and the team were greatly honoured to reach the shortlist and had a fantastic evening.
