Jane Beattie trained at the George Eliot Hospital and qualified as a state registered nurse in January 1983. Jane went straight to train as a midwife having qualified in 1984. She then spent 6 years as a staff midwife at Nuneaton Maternity Hospital. She joined Primary care in 1989 as a practice nurse with in Hinckley, where she stayed for 23 years.
Jane enjoys a wide and varied role nursing role which include education, cardiac care, cervical cytology, heart failure, raised cholesterol and also care of the warfarin patient, along with other treatment room duties.
In her spare time, Jane enjoys reading and rearing her pet chickens, she also owns a wool shop “The Yarn Sanctuary” in Nuneaton which she runs with the help of her husband Matt.
